Topic: Code for Princeton Hackathon

  • Description: This week’s meetup is in partnership with the Code for Princeton Brigade of the national project, Code for America. The Code for Princeton Civic Hackathon takes place June 6-7th.


  • 7:00: Civic Hacking 101
    • If this is your first time at one of our meetups, we’ll have a quick ten minute intro where we will talk about how to get involved in the Civic Hacking movement and what types of roles exist for both techie’s and non techies alike.
  • 7:10: Talk on Civic and Social Entrepreneurship with guest Daniel D’Alonzo.
    • He is passionate about teaching others to understand social problems, and how to can create value in the community to solve those problems.
  • 7:30: Hacking and Yacking Begins – we’ll break out into smaller groups to:
    • yack about civic entrepreneurship with Daniel
    • Map and Chat with Nathan from Code for Trenton
    • learn how to use Tableau Public with Kirsten
    • hack on your own

General: Princeton Impact Project hosts meetups as a convening space for you to establish relationships with other community members who are passionate about using business to drive social change.
